Foundation

The eventful journey of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Computer Club started on the 19th of May in 2011. The club was inaugurated by the then-Provost of Sher-e-Bangla Hall Prof. Noor Md. Rahmatullah (Department of Agricultural Statistics) through the opening of the club’s Facebook group.

During the earlier years, Prof. Dr. Md. Sekendar Ali acted as the moderator, Prof. Dr. Md, Shamsuzzaman as the adviser/consultant, journalist of the Daily Ittefaq and student of MS Md. Rafiqul Islam Rafiq as the President and Md. Shamim Hasan Mondal as the General Secretary.

After passing the initial hurdles, the club moved forward with the help of a group of enthusiastic youngsters. During the next three years, the club trained more than three hundred students and made them skilled in computers. They were also given certificates. The club arranged many other programs besides training activities to help the students acquire practical knowledge and skills.

The club also participated in various cultural programs such as Pahela Baishakh, Ekushe February etc.
